GRUPO FARO is committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injuries and ill health, appropriate to its purpose, size, and context, and to the specific nature of its OHS risks and opportunities.
GRUPO FARO will provide a framework for establishing OHS objectives.
GRUPO FARO is committed to complying with legal and other requirements.
GRUPO FARO is committed to eliminating hazards and reducing OHS risks.
GRUPO FARO is committed to seeking continuous improvement of the OHS management system.
GRUPO FARO is committed to promoting the consultation and participation of workers through their representatives.
The Management and human team of GRUPO FARO maintain the commitment to promote the safety and health of all individuals involved in our service provision. Therefore, as part of the actions to achieve this, we have defined our Stop Work Policy. The “Stop Work” Policy is applicable to all companies that are part of GRUPO FARO, in their operations and services deployed in Spain and Portugal where it is present.
At GRUPO FARO, we firmly believe that nothing is more important than the safety of our personnel, clients, subcontractors, and the communities where we carry out our work, transmitting this principle of action throughout the organization.
For the foregoing reasons, GRUPO FARO will promote and support the decision to stop work if, upon evaluating the conditions and risks present in the service provision, these could cause harm to workers, citizens, assets [ours or third parties'], or the environment in which we work.
If the action, unsafe behavior, omission, or lack of action by any of the parties involved in our operations can result in harm, then work must stop immediately, and the Supervisor must be notified to inform the client of the situation.
If there is any reasonable doubt about performing the work safely, the worker must immediately consult their supervisor to find the best way to continue the work safely. Work stopped due to a Stop Work order should only resume once a safe method of execution has been defined and in coordination with the client.
No worker shall be blamed or punished for requesting to stop any work they are performing, even if, after investigation, the stop work order was deemed unnecessary.
The Stop Work order must be applied in good faith.
This policy is part of our prevention culture and aims to protect the people who work with us from accidents or occupational hazards. We request that anyone who detects a potential risk or unsafe behavior immediately report it to their superior or the person in charge at the Work Center, and if the risk is considered critical, stop their work or the work until the situation is confirmed to be safe.
This communication will not have any negative consequences for the person who reports it, nor will blame or responsibility be attributed to the person/people who report these situations in good faith, even if such action is ultimately determined to be unnecessary. The Safety and Health of people is a characteristic of our preventive culture.
GRUPO FARO makes its integrated management policy available to the public.
It is the responsibility of the GRUPO FARO organization to comply with the provisions of the Integrated Management System and, fundamentally, of the individuals responsible for carrying out the activities included within said System.
This Policy will be communicated to all employees, and adequate technical, human, and administrative resources will be provided for the direction, execution, and verification of tasks through the Integrated Management System.
